Zac Zahner (B.Bus, CA, GAICD) is Founder and Principal of Total Governance Solutions (TGS) a specialist governance consultancy that provides tailored solutions to meet our clients’ individual needs by:

• Reviewing the performance of the board, chair, directors and committees
• Identifying current and required skills for directors and boards
• Developing tailored policies and charters
• Assisting with the CEO remuneration and evaluation process
• Professional development tailored for your organisational needs
• Facilitating the development of strategy
• Establishing effective risk governance processes
• Working with organisations to establish boards to enhance the organisational performance

In addition, he provides Boards and Senior Executives with assistance on matters of governance to improve their overall effectiveness.

Zac has worked in governance for over 10 years and works closely with Boards and management teams to deliver improved governance structures and set strategic objectives. Zac has previously worked with professional chartered accounting practices, as CFO of retail and rental companies, CEO in a Brisbane-based rental company and most recently, prior to starting TGS, was MD of Australia’s largest specialist governance consultancy. Zac specialises in providing advice to medium to large enterprises encompassing Board structures, skills and assessments, CEO assessments, operational and strategic matters.

Zac has completed over 150 Board, Skills and CEO reviews for many different clients including the banking and finance sector (both in Australia and PNG), ASX listed companies, government owned corporations as well as private companies and not-for-profits.  Recent clients include a member-based superannuation company based in Brisbane, a large banking entity based in PNG, an indigenous member organisation based in Canberra, a listed bank based in Brisbane and NSW, a large faith based NFP, a Victorian government agency and a large NSW Insurance agency.
